Genesis Tribute Band Coming To Montclair’s Wellmont Theater
Wellmont Theater: Original Genesis bandmember Steve Hackett has called himself a fan of the band.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Musical Box – the only Genesis tribute band licensed and supported by Genesis and Peter Gabriel – will bring the classic 1974 show, “Selling England By the Pound” to Montclair’s Wellmont Theater on Friday, Feb. 23.
It’s the second year in a row the band will perform its act at the Montclair venue, according to theater news release.
Formed in Montreal in 1993 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Selling England, The Musical Box has now played around the world. It has performed over 1,000 concerts in front of more than a million audience members. The tribute band has headlined venues including the Royal Alert Hall in London and the Olympia in Paris.

According to the Wellmont Theater:
“Lead vocalist Denis Gagné and guitarist Sebastian Lamothe have become internationally acclaimed for their talents with original Genesis bandmember, Steve Hackett, calling himself a fan. He says, ‘I think keeping the music alive is important.’”
