Glen Ridge Man Falls To His Death In Acadia National Park: Report
The 68-year-old may have fallen from a cliff while taking photographs of a sunset, authorities say.

Authorities say that a Glen Ridge man fell to his death while taking photographs from a seaside cliff in Acadia National Park in Maine on Monday night.
Mark Simon, 68, may have fallen from a cliff in the park after going out on the rocks to take photographs of the sunset around 7 p.m., Acadia National Park spokesman John Kelly said.
Simon’s wife – who was waiting in their car in a nearby parking lot – waved down a park ranger around 9:30 p.m., the Bangor Daily News reported.

The U.S. Coast Guard and Mount Desert Island Search and Rescue unit helped to pull Simon’s body from the water around 11:30 p.m. after it was carried offshore by the tides, authorities stated.
