Grand Opening Set For Hair Salon And Café In Montclair

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A combination hair salon and café in Montclair will celebrate its relaunch after a shift in ownership with a “grand opening” event on Saturday, July 17.

Now, after a makeover, the café is ready to reopen under the Boho banner.

The local business shared more details in a news release:

“The Boho brand is excited to announce the opening of The Boho Cafe in Montclair. This marks the occasion to celebrate their grand opening on Saturday, July 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 113 Watchung Avenue. The event will feature outdoor vendor pop-ups and will introduce their refreshing new seasonal offering, the smoothie popsicle. Balloons and freshly spun cotton candy will be available for kids. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be given back to the community through MESH, a local community outreach for the homeless. This new vegan friendly cafe is located adjacent to hotspot, Boho Hair Salon, where the same elements of eye-catching aesthetic and passion for community, wellness and beauty are infused. A welcoming atmosphere has been created for neighbors to enjoy a unique cafe experience that transcends daily life.”

Spokespeople continued:

“The Boho Cafe boasts the brewing of Canyon Coffee, a high-quality organic coffee that is grown with sustainable and eco-friendly practices. As its exclusive location on the east coast, Boho Cafe is able to provide this premium grade coffee roasted and sourced in Los Angeles. The Boho Cafe specializes in offering specialty coffee, smoothies, mocktails, acai bowls, house-made vegan syrups, pastries and an assortment of healthy vegan and vegan-possible bites. Some popular favorites are La Mija, a spicy mocktail made with mango, coconut, lime and Tajín, and the Esquite Toast topped with avocado, Mexican street corn and Cotija cheese. The Boho Cafe also introduces a beauty bar element where wellness boosters such as collagen, ashwagandha, lions mane and more can be added to any coffee or smoothie. The Boho Cafe is passionate about serving their local community and will be partnering with MESH throughout the summer. Every Friday, they will be preparing meals at the cafe and distributing them to the homeless community of Montclair.”

Owner Sally Monterrosa said the Boho Cafe was born out of a love for connecting people and creating an inviting space that is “filled with moments of joy, dreaming and community.”

“It is my intention for people to always leave feeling beautiful, from the inside out,” Monterrosa said.
