Grand Opening For Toastique In Montclair Will Mark Milestone For First-Time Business Owner

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A new Toastique location will be opening in downtown Montclair later this month, and it will be a landmark moment for its first-time business owner.

Zairah Ahmed is the force behind the latest location of the 56-unit cafe franchise, which features offerings like gourmet toasts, cold-pressed juices, smoothie bowls and handcrafted coffee.

A Bergen County native and longtime Pilates instructor and personal trainer, Ahmed was inspired to come back to New Jersey after helping a family member through a health crisis. Opening the newest Toastique franchise combines her love of food, fitness, business and health in her first retail venture.

“I can't wait to become part of the Church Street community and share all the beautiful food we have to offer,” Ahmed enthused. “I love this town, and when I decided to open a Toastique, I knew its home had to be here.”

According to a news release, several specials are planned for the grand opening week. They include:

• Saturday 6/20 — doors open 8 a.m. | first 100 guests get $50 in rewards
• Sunday 6/21 — free drip coffee with any $10+ purchase
• Monday 6/22 — $5 juice on tap all day (12oz)
• Tuesday 6/23 — free coffee or espresso drink with any purchase
• Wednesday 6/24 — $6 smoothies all day (16oz) cold pressed juices, açai bowls, gourmet toast, grab and go

Gluten-free and nut-free options are available, and the restaurant is 100% Halal.”

Toastique has other New Jersey restaurants in Ridgewood, Morristown, Hoboken, Chatham and Stone Harbor.
