
First it was Mexicali Rose on Park Street that was closed by New Jersey tax officials—on August 11.
And now around the corner it appears that Greek Delights—at 558 Bloomfield Avenue—has met with the same fate according to the orange "Notice of Seizure" signs plastered on its doors and windows.
Greek Delights billed itself as a welcoming and friendly family-oriented restaurant, a place where customers could enjoy authentic Greek cuisine and a Greek-style interior.

Tom Lonergan, the executive director of the Montclair Center Business Improvement District—who is resigning this month—said he believes the closure has something to do with nonpayment of taxes but isn't sure.
"I thought the place was popular," he said.

In addition, Patch noticed that the nearby Frame Mart at 513 Bloomfield Avenue also has closed as there is a large "For Sale" sign in the window.
