Says Montclair dog owner Karen Sacks, “I have two dogs and it makes me feel badly leaving them at the groomers all day. By having the groomer come to me, one dog stays comfortably in the house while the other is groomed in the van. The mobile groomer also offers therapeutic massage, facials, and reiki for pets in addition to traditional grooming.
The Shaggy Fur Face Mobile Pet Salon (973-865-6162), owned and operated by Irene Caro, is another popular mobile groomer. Says happy client Debbi Bernstein of Montclair, “Irene is professional, and is great with my dogs. And since she comes to my house, it couldn't be more convenient.”

Best of Breed (973-759-4423) also offers mobile services and operates a full service salon in Belleville. Note that mobile dog groomers may be more expensive than traditional groomers, and may have size or weight limits for their furry clients, so be sure to ask about cost before you book an appointment.

Many owners (and probably the pets as well) prefer having their pets play while they wait rather than be kept in a cage.
