The Halloween fun started in the afternoon and went throughout the evening, with trick or treaters ringing some doorbells as late as 9 p.m. There were pretty princesses and zany zombies. Most kids received candy, but some received pretzels and Play-Doh. Fortunately, the skies were clear, even if the temperatures were a bit nippy.
