Heath Care Parade Honors Mountainside Hospital Workers

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A strong showing of public safety officials, residents and other well-wishers recently turned out for a health care parade in support of the workers at Hackensack Meridian Health Mountainside Medical Center.

The hospital, which is located in Montclair and Glen Ridge, has been among several in Essex County that have been on the frontline of the coronavirus crisis. Last week, the towns it serves decided to offer a big “thank you.”

On April 24, police, fire and EMS crews from the following areas put on a show of solidarity for their hospital counterparts: Glen Ridge, Montclair, Fairfield, East Orange, West Orange, Orange, South Orange, West Caldwell, North Caldwell, Belleville, Bloomfield, Nutley, Maplewood, Verona, Millburn, Irvington, Newark, Union City, NJIT Police Department, Montclair State University, Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Essex County Sheriff's Office.
