The Montclair Police Department released the following details about each incident:

July 14 (Wayside Place) – At 3:06 a.m., officers responded to a Wayside Place residence after getting a report about a burglary in progress. A resident reported that his home surveillance system shows three men entering his home by pushing in a piece of wood that was covering a rear window. The first officer to arrive on the scene saw a white BMW 530 idling outside of the home, which was later found to have been stolen in Edison.
