HS Student In Glen Ridge Earns Scholarship From Chamber Of Commerce

GLEN RIDGE, NJ — A high school student from Glen Ridge was among three youths who recently earned scholarships from the Suburban Essex Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

Ryan O'Neil of Glen Ridge High School will be attending Lehigh University, according to the chamber, which brought back its annual scholarships for 2022. Eligible students had to be a graduating high school senior in Bloomfield, Belleville or Glen Ridge.

The criteria for scholarships are based on financial need, attendance at a college/university/trade school with the intention to pursue a career that is business oriented, and extracurricular and community activities. The scholarship application includes the student’s grade point average, letters of recommendation, acceptance letters from the college of interest and typed 500 word essay.
