I-280 Crash: Multi-Car Accident Slows Traffic In Essex County On Thursday
A multi-car accident caused traffic backups and closed a lane on I-280 westbound in Essex County.
A multi-car accident caused traffic backups and closed a lane near exit 9 (Pleasant Avenue/CR 660) on I-280 westbound in West Orange on Thursday morning.
According to NJ511, as of 8:56 a.m., the accident had forced the closure of the left lane and was causing a 10 to 15 minute delay.
Township officials sent out an alert about the accident at 5:48 a.m., warning motorists to “avoid I-280 West by Mount Pleasant Avenue.”
