Invasive Species ‘Strike Team’ Seeks Volunteers In Montclair

A "strike team" is getting ready to tame invasive plants at Alonzo F. Bonsal Wildlife Preserve in Montclair.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A “strike team” is getting ready to tackle invasive plants at Alonzo F. Bonsal Wildlife Preserve in Montclair.

The Bonsal Wildlife Preserve Conservancy recently announced that it is forming an “invasive species strike team,” which will tame invasive plant species, clearing space for the native flora to thrive.

Interested participants can volunteer to pitch in at a series of events this summer (see flyer below).

The July 31 volunteer day will be followed by a native plant walk by one of the conservancy’s resident naturalists. Learn more or RSVP here.
