Islamic Relief USA To Hold ‘Skate for Syria’ In Montclair

Organizers: The March 22 event at the Clary Anderson Center will raise money to provide emergency relief in the war-torn nation.

Islamic Relief USA's “Skate for Syria” event will take place on Friday, March 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Clary Anderson Center, located at 41 Chestnut St.

“What makes Skate for Syria a special fundraising event is that it provides an opportunity for families and friends to come together and enjoy a group activity for a good cause.” said Alaa Mohamed, Event Coordinator at IRUSA.

The skating event will help raise money for IRUSA’s aid efforts in Syria, which has been consumed by war and brutality the past several years. More than 9.3 million Syrians have been helped by aid provided by Islamic Relief USA. Food, clothing, blankets, clean water, shoes, coats, among other items, were given to recipients.
