Just A Drill; Gas Leak Simulation In Montclair On March 26

PSE&G will be conducting a drill simulating a gas leak in Montclair on Monday, March 26.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — PSE&G will be conducting a drill simulating a gas leak in Montclair from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 26 in the area of 118 Gates Avenue, authorities announced.

According to a Montclair Township news release, the purpose of the drill is to “practice a coordinated response with the police, fire and EMS departments.”

“PSE&G performs gas leak exercises periodically to test and enhance response protocols, coordination with other responders, and site logistics. This training allows PSE&G to increase public safety and prepare for worst case scenarios.”

Officials added:

“Should you see police, fire, EMS and PSE&G activity in the vicinity of Gates Avenue on Monday, please remember THIS IS ONLY A DRILL.”
