Keeping Track of Santa on Christmas Eve Made Easy

Those Essex County residents wondering what time Santa Claus will come sliding down their chimney can track St. Nick’s worldwide tour with the help of NORAD.

NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, will once again be helping children waiting in anticipation for Santa’s keep tabs on him as he travels the globe on Christmas Eve. The NORAD Santa Tracker is already up and running and currently sports a countdown until his big trip begins.

NORAD has been tracking Santa Claus since 1955, when it was previously called Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD), according to the agency’s website. The Santa Tracker website features a number of activities to occupy eager children on Christmas Eve and before, including games, movies, music and the “Secret Santa Files.”

Parents who want to help their kids keep track of Jolly St. Nicholas during his trip just need to visit NORADSanta.org.
