Lead Screenings For Young Kids: Montclair, Nutley, Verona, Cedar Grove
The Montclair Health Department will host a free lead screening event for young children and pregnant women in four townships.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The Montclair Health Department will host a free lead screening event for young children and pregnant women who live in Montclair, Nutley, Cedar Grove and Verona on Wednesday, May 24.
The clinic, which is being held in partnership with Mountainside Family Practice Group, will take place from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the council chambers of the Montclair municipal building, 205 Claremont Avenue.
The event is open to pregnant women and children between ages 1 and 6. Participants are welcome to bring household items (toys, jewelry, makeup, spices, etc.) to be tested for lead – “for educational purposes only,” organizers said.
