Leaf Blower Ban Suspended
Residents permitted to use gas leaf blowers through September 5th.
In order to facilitate clean-up from Hurricane Irene, the township prohibition on using internal combustion (gas) leaf blowers is temporarily suspended. According to the department of Administration and Code Enforcement, Internal combustion leaf blowers may be used through Monday, September 5. Tuesday, September 6 the prohibition resumes until October 1.
Typically, the operation of leaf blowers in the Township is limited to the periods March 1 through June 30 and October 1 through December 15.
