Let our children revitalize our town.

Empty store fronts in town.

Let our children revitalize our town.

Have you noticed all the empty store fronts in our town of Montclair? I'm sure there are many reasons for a store to close its doors; such as needing a smaller or larger area, the loss of cliental, age, etc., but these empty storefronts are taking appeal away from our town, especially when it comes to potential businesses, or more importantly, new home buyers. If the businesses are not thriving here, what incentive is there for a new business owner to establish a business here?
Businesses directly or indirectly affect each other's success.

My idea to improve the looks of these vacant store fronts by beautifying the windows with artwork from our students. This endeavor will be promoting the student, the teacher, the school and most of all the community as a whole. Our children would be doing something worthwhile and valuable while gaining a feeling of pride and personal satisfaction. As potential prospects browse the area, They may have a different reaction then now, seeing positive energy, beauty and culture abound. They would know that the town's people care about the town and its future. Without the town showing prosperity, it will show lifelessness. The future life blood of our community is in the hands of today's children. Let them lead the way and open our business doors to help find success.
