Lose Weight and Manage Stress with The Dragon's Way Qigong®
The Dragon's Way Qigong®, a weight loss & stress management program based on Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, returns to Montclair.
The Dragon's Way Qigong® program, created by Qigong Grand Master Dr. Nan Lu, is being offered in Montclair at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 55 Montclair Avenue beginning on Sunday, January 28 (4:30 to 5:30pm). The program is based on ancient Chinese principles of health, healing, and well-being. Some of the reported benefits have been increased energy, improved sleep quality, better digestion, decreased stress and anxiety, weight loss, and greater peace of mind.
In six sessions, students will learn a powerful Qigong practice to balance and energize the body. Students will also learn about foods that support daily wellness and lifestyle tips that reduce stress.
"It's a new year and many of us are ready to ‘get new’," says Dr. Sandra Lewis, a Certified Instructor for the Dragon's Way Qigong® system and teacher of this upcoming class. "If you're thinking about moving to the next level of your best self, this program is a great opportunity to start you on that path. It’s an effective system and wellness tool that’s yours for life.”

Ten Wu Ming Qigong movements are the foundation of the program. When practiced regularly, they have the ability to “clean-up” the body and increase overall energy. The movements are easy to do, can be practiced by everyone, and require no special clothing or special breathing technique. The recommended eating style supports the body’s need for energetic balance. The Dragon’s Way encourages a positive relationship with food and goes well beyond counting calories or portion control.
“I’ve participated in this program about a half dozen times over the past decade," says Sue Zeger, a Montclair resident and former Dragon's Way student. "The benefits that I’ve received have ranged from getting rid of some extra pounds, clearing up food intolerances, sleeping more soundly, and feeling better in general.”
