Lunar New Year Celebration Returns To Montclair For 2023

MONTCLAIR, NJ — AAPI Montclair will host Montclair’s second annual Lunar New Year Celebration on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (with a rain date of Jan. 29) at the Montclair Art Museum.

According to a news release from organizers:

“Lunar New Year is a time of hope where family, friends, and neighbors come together to rejoice in new beginnings as we look ahead to a peaceful and prosperous year. Cheer on lion dancers and enjoy live performances from local artists and students from our local schools. March in the dragon parade or try your hand at one of the family friendly crafts. Sample a variety of scrumptious eats and browse specialty merchandise from local vendors. Your ticket also gives you full access to the beautiful galleries inside the Montclair Art Museum.”

This event is presented in partnership with the Fort Lee Chinese American Community Association, Glen Ridge Diversity and Inclusion Association, Korean United Presbyterian Church of NJ, Professional Filipino American Youth, United Asian Voices of West Orange, Vietnamese Boat People, and the Montclair Art Museum.

General admission tickets are $7 each (fee waivers available) and $25 for families (limit to five attendees per family). Children under the age of five are admitted free.
