Lynne Mortimer Named 2016 Realtor Of The Year By West Essex Board Of Realtors

MONTCLAIR, N.J. – (Sept. 30, 2016) – Hal Maxwell, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, New York, is proud to congratulate broker sales associate Lynne Mortimer on being named the 2016 Realtor of the Year by the West Essex Board of Realtors (WEBOR). Mortimer is affiliated with the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Montclair.

Mortimer, a Verona resident, has 28 years of experience serving residential buyers and sellers in in Essex, Morris, Passaic, Union and Bergen counties. In choosing Mortimer as Realtor of the Year, WEBOR cited the “uncountable hours” she has given to professional real estate organizations and her “well-known” commitment to the Verona community. WEBOR previously honored Mortimer as Realtor of the Year in 2001.

She will be recognized for her accomplishment at the New Jersey Realtors Triple Play Realtor Convention and Trade Expo in Atlantic City this December. Mortimer is one of 20 Realtors of the Year representing local boards, who will each be eligible to be named New Jersey Realtor of the Year.

Mortimer has served her local board, WEBOR, as director, secretary, vice president, president elect, president and immediate past president, as well as having served on the Political Action, Risk Reduction, Grievance, Professional Standards, Education, and Sign Committees. She was Realtor of the Year in 2001, as well.

Mortimer served on the National Association of Realtors Consumer Communications Committee for 2015 and 2016. She served New Jersey Realtors this past year as chairman of continuing education, as well as Realtor associate representative for the state. In the past, she served on the Government Research Foundation, Communications, Legislative, and Strategic Plan committees.

Mortimer has been a Certified Residential Specialist for 24 years. She has served the NJ-Delaware Chapter of the Council of Residential Specialists as president and state chair for 2015 and 2016 respectively, as well as having served as membership chair, secretary and president elect. She was selected as the NJ-Delaware Certified Residential Specialist of the Year in 2012. She holds the Graduate, Realtor Institute Designation, as well.

Mortimer’s sales awards include consecutive membership in the NJ Realtors Circle of Excellence from 1990-2015. She has also been inducted into the NJ Realtors Distinguished Sales Club and NJ Realtors Quarter Century Club.
