Man In 'Beatles' Shirt Swipes $600 Of Meat From Montclair Supermarket: Police

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Someone wearing a “Beatles” shirt stole hundreds of dollars-worth of meat from a supermarket in Montclair over the Memorial Day weekend, authorities say.

Employees at Kings Supermarket on Valley Road told police that a man entered the store on Saturday and stole $600 worth of steaks. He then fled to a white SUV and left the scene.

The suspect was described as a man in his 30s or 40s. He was wearing gray sweatpants, a black and gray flannel shirt with a Beatles t-shirt underneath it, and a gray snapback-styled hat with a black brim.

It isn’t the first time that the supermarket has seen shoplifting incidents involving large quantities of meat, with other thefts reported over the past year.
