Man Brandished Knife During Argument In Montclair: Police

Montclair police arrested a 32-year-old man after he allegedly brandished a knife during an argument, authorities said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair police arrested a 32-year-old man after he allegedly brandished a knife during an argument last week, authorities said Tuesday.

According to the Montclair Police Department, officers responded to South Park Street and Church Street on Aug. 11 after getting a report about a verbal fight.

Witnesses said that two men were arguing, when one of them brandished a knife, authorities stated.

Officers spoke with both men, one of whom had a blue folding knife in his possession.

Montclair police charged the 32-year-old man with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
