Man Grabs Cash From Register At Montclair Convenience Store: Cops

MONTCLAIR, NJ — He reached into the register and grabbed some cash. Then he got into a car and took off, police say.

According to the Montclair Police Department, an alleged theft took place at the Quick Chek on Valley Road on Monday when a customer reached over the counter and grabbed a fistful of $20 bills from the open cash register. The man then got into a black SUV and fled the scene.

Witnesses described the alleged thief as 6 feet tall and male, authorities stated.
