MONTCLAIR, NJ — A pedestrian allegedly punched the window out of a driver’s car during a “dispute” in Montclair last week after she tried to pull into a parking lot – but didn’t see him, police said.

According to the Montclair Police Department, the incident took place on Dec. 13. Here’s what happened, authorities said:

“The complainant reported that she was turning into the Maple Plaza parking lot when a pedestrian she did not see slammed his fists on the hood of her vehicle. The pedestrian then approached the driver’s side and punched the window out … He was last seen walking west on Bloomfield Avenue.”

Police said the pedestrian was described as a male from 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches. He was wearing khaki pants and a brown leather jacket.
