Man Sitting On Bench In Montclair Assaulted, Punched: Police
Two men punched a victim and stole $5 from him as he sat outside on a bench in Montclair, authorities said.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Two men punched a victim and stole $5 from him as he sat outside on a bench in Montclair last week, authorities said.
The Montclair Police Department released the following details about the assault, which took place on South Park Street on Sept. 26:
“The victim reported that while sitting on a bench, he was approached by two males who began to punch him. The suspects then went through the victim’s pockets and stole approximately $5 in cash. The only description provided was that one of males was wearing a black sweater/jacket possibly with the emblem of Whole Foods on it.”
The two assailants were last seen walking west on Church Street, police said.
