Over the coming weeks, we will introduce the Evolution Lacrosse coaching staff through a series of short profiles.

This week, we feature two player/coaches who are excelling on Montclair State University's womens and mens teams, Tierney Conlon of Caldwell and Robert "Bobby" Snow of Ledgewood. Both will play in their senior seasons in the fall.

What is it that you love about the sport of lacrosse?

I love everything about the sport - the team aspect, the athleticism, and the game itself.

What draws you to coaching?

I love teaching other athletes the strategies that have worked for me and love to see them improving. I also like to coach because I want others to enjoy the sport as much as I have.

What would you say to a young athlete considering playing lacrosse?

Don’t give up. Everything that is new is challenging at first, as long as you’re working hard and having fun that’s all that matters.

When I'm not playing or coaching lacrosse, I like to...

I am very into art. I love turning old pieces of furniture into something new and creative.

Best moment of your lacrosse career:

Best moment of my career would be beating the No. 5 team in the country, Dickinson.

What is it that you love about the sport of lacrosse?

What I love about lacrosse is that it’s such young growing sport. It brings kids together for something so fun and exciting. The memories and friends you make during your career of lacrosse will stay with you forever.

What draws you to coaching?

What draws me to coaching is the influence I can have on kid’s lives. Lacrosse is a sport that can change you forever. I love being able to share my experiences and skills with these kids to teach them how to be the best lacrosse player that they can be.

What would you say to a young athlete considering playing lacrosse?

I would tell that young athlete that you won’t regret trying lacrosse. You’re going to love it. With practice and persistence you can be great. It’s such an easy sport to pick up on and I’m sure you’ll do great.

When I'm not playing or coaching lacrosse, I like to...

I like to go to the gym, run, and be with my friends. I also enjoy playing other sports such as basketball and football.

Evolution Lacrosse Academy will offer two one-week summer camps this July at Centennial Field in Verona.
