Men Rob Victim At Gunpoint In Montclair: Police
A man who thought he was buying iPads off the internet was robbed at gunpoint in Montclair, police said.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — A man who thought he was buying iPads off the internet was robbed at gunpoint in Montclair last week, authorities said Tuesday.
According to the Montclair Police Department, the armed robbery took place on Feb. 22 on Bloomfield Avenue.
The victim said he arranged to purchase three iPads for $2,000 from a person he met online. He arrived at 15 Bloomfield Avenue and parked his vehicle in the rear of the stores. Soon afterwards, a “high-end,” white, four-door vehicle and a red sedan pulled up and boxed him in.

The victim said a man got out of the passenger side of the white vehicle and approached his driver-side window. Meanwhile, a second man exited the passenger side of the red sedan and approached the victim’s passenger side window.
Both suspects pointed black handguns at the victim, demanded his money and ordered him out of the car. The victim gave $2,000 to the suspects, who again demanded that he exit his vehicle, police said.

At that time, the victim was able to pull his car around the two other vehicles and escape. The men then fled east on Bloomfield Avenue, authorities stated.
