MONTCLAIR, NJ — An attempted burglary was reported in Montclair last weekend, authorities said Monday.

According to the Montclair Police Department, a Capron Lane resident said the attempted home intrusion was captured on her home surveillance cameras on Saturday.

She told officers that a dark-colored, four-door sedan dropped off two men in the area. The men – who are in their late teens to early twenties and were wearing surgical masks – can be seen checking the side garage door in attempt to enter the home. They then try to get into the home through two sets of windows.

The men retreated to the awaiting sedan when they spotted a surveillance video camera, authorities said.
