Ministry Brings Politically Charged Tour To Essex County, NJ

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Headbanging metal band Ministry is bringing their politically charged “AmeriKKKant Tour” to Montclair’s historic Wellmont Theater on Saturday, April 21.

According to the Wellmont Theater:

“Founded in Chicago in the late 80’s by frontman Al Jourgensen, Ministry is considered one of the pioneers of industrial metal music. The band paved the way for acts like Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails and Static-X. Originally a synth-pop outfit, Ministry shifted its style to become one of the pioneers of industrial metal music in the mid-to-late 1980s. The band reunited in 2011 to release three new chart topping albums.”

The Wellmont Theater added:

“With more than ten studio albums under its belt, the band released its 'AmeriKKKant' record earlier this year based on Jourgensen's 'unadulterated anger for what’s happening in America today — the waning respect for the U.S. Constitution, the growing acceptance of one’s opinions replacing facts, the decline of our leaders' sense of morals, ethics and personal responsibility to the country and to their constituents, and the madman in the White House.'”
