Missing Montclair Woman Found Deceased
Montclair resident Adelaida Serrano, 83, has been found dead, police said.

Montclair, NJ – A Montclair senior citizen reported missing has been found deceased in Montclair, according to police.
Adelaida Serrano, 83, who was last seen on camera on Monday leaving her place of residence - First Montclair House in Montclair – was reported deceased by authorities on Thursday, according to the Montclair Police Department.
Montclair Lt. David O’Dowd told Patch that Serrano was found in town, although he didn’t elaborate on the exact location, citing an ongoing police investigation.

The Essex County Medical Examiner’s Office has yet to determine the cause of death, O’Dowd said.
According to her family and friends, Serrano, 83, moved to Walnut Street in Montclair from Far Rockaway in June of 2015, and attended the local Senior Care Centre at 110 Greenwood Avenue during the day.

She did not drive or know her way around the area well, family members originally stated.
