Some NJ Transit Trains Canceled Monday Due To ‘Manpower Shortage'
NJ Transit trains were canceled on the Montclair-Boonton, Morris/Essex and Main-Bergen-Port Jervis lines.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — NJ Transit trains on the Montclair-Boonton, Morris/Essex and Main-Bergen-Port Jervis lines were canceled Monday morning due to a “manpower shortage,” the agency reported.
NJ Transit posted the following alert for the MOBO line on Oct. 8: “MOBO train #6206, the 6:45 a.m. from MSU, is canceled Monday, 10/8, due to a manpower shortage.” Officials said that customers can transfer at Newark Broad Street for service to New York Penn Station.

- Morris/Essex line (train #481 at 6:55 a.m. from Hoboken)
- Morris/Essex line (train #480 at 8:55 a.m. from Bernardsville)
- Main-Bergen-Port Jervis line (train #1103 at 5:48 a.m. from Hoboken)
- Main-Bergen-Port Jervis line (train #1156 at 7:43 a.m. from Suffern)
It was an inauspicious start to the week for riders, some of whom are likely still fuming from last week’s NJ Transit train delays, which included a “minor derailment” and a fatal “trespasser strike.”
