Montclair Apartment Residents Blast Living Conditions: Report
People living in the building allege that they're living with roaches, rodents, mold, poor ventilation and faulty plumbing, a report says.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Residents at an apartment building in Montclair have appealed to the town for help, alleging that they’re living with roaches, rodents, mold, poor ventilation and faulty plumbing – among other issues, a report says.
Residents at 50 Greenwood Avenue, an 87-unit low-income apartment building, recently spoke with Montclair Local about their allegations, which Mayor Renee Baskerville said “are not new.” Town code enforcement officials have responded to dozens of complaints at the property over the past few years.
