Montclair Art Museum To Hold Free 1st Thursday: March 7

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Enjoy a night out at the Montclair Art Museum (MAM) with free general admission, live music, art activities, tours and a full-service bar at the "Free First Thursday Night" on March 7 from 5 to 9 p.m.

According to a news release from the museum, the Free First Thursday Night will include:

- MAM’s spring fundraising event, The Art Party, with a Mandala Art Activity
- A "Draw Along Workshop" with a free drawing session, a clothed model and guided art instruction for all ages
- Two docent led-tours of New Jersey Crafts Annual: New Directions in Fiber Art at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. (Following the 6:30 tour, meet fiber artist Deborah Guzmán Meyer as she discusses her digital photographs/printed on fabric which are included in the Fiber Art exhibition)
- The Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition featuring the work of high school students who were awarded the Gold Key Award in the region
- Live music in the galleries with Thieves and Poets
Guests can also grab a bite from featured food vendors including Bro-Ritos and Thai Elephant food trucks.
Free First Thursday Nights at the MAM take place on the first Thursday of the month (October–June) from 5 to 9 p.m. Learn more here.
