Montclair Art Museum to Host "Au Revoir, Matisse!" Wine Bar

The Montclair Art Museum (MAM) will conclude its celebration of all things Matisse with its annual Wine Bar, bringing together community, wine and, of course, art to toast the Museum’s groundbreaking exhibition Matisse and American Art. “Au Revoir, Matisse” will take place Friday, June 16, from 7 to 10 p.m. Proceeds from "Au Revoir, Matisse" support enhanced educational outreach and accessible programs for children of all ages.

Enjoy an evening under the stars! Ticket includes a dynamic wine tasting, with a variety of wines and generous pours available throughout the event. Hors d’oeuvres will complement and satisfy appetites. Let your inner artist out with Matisse-themed art activities for adults. A DJ will keep guests entertained all night.

The evening will also provide one of the last opportunities to view the critically acclaimed special exhibition Matisse and American Art before it closes on June 18. Attendees will have special after-hours access to all galleries and exhibitions including the critically acclaimed shows Matisse and American Art; Inspired by Matisse: Selected Works from the Collection; and Janet Taylor Pickett: The Matisse Series.

New this year, guests can choose to enhance their tasting with three specialty cocktails to try. Separate charge applies for cocktail tasting. The event will go on rain or shine—but the party will move indoors if needed.

Tickets for “Au Revoir, Matisse” can be purchased at montclairartmuseum.org/winebar and are $100 in advance/$125 at the door.
