Montclair Business Burglarized, Others Report Thefts

Burglars struck Coco and Bailey, and three other thefts were reported last week in Montclair, police say.

Four local businesses reported that they were victimized last week, Montclair police stated on Tuesday.

On Nov. 23, burglars hit Coco & Bailey on Bellevue Avenue. The suspects gained access by damaging the front door and took an unspecified amount of cash, police said.

On Nov. 23, the Crowd Around Deli on Glenridge Avenue reported that a stack of recently delivered newspapers was stolen from the front of the store.

On Nov. 29, the CVS on Claremont Avenue reported that a female loaded several items into a baby stroller and left the store without paying. Store personnel described the woman as about 30-years-old and 4 foot 11 inches.

On Nov. 30, Piazza Della Sole on Valley Road reported that a female suspect stole three pocketbooks from the store. Personnel said the woman was in her mid-50s, about 6 feet, missing her front teeth and wearing all black.
