Montclair Car Crimes: Work Van Burglarized, Credit Cards Stolen
Two motor vehicle-related crimes took place in Montclair, with the victims reporting combined losses of $3,000, authorities said.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Two motor vehicle-related crimes took place in Montclair last week, with the victims reporting combined losses of $3,000, authorities said Tuesday.
According to the Montclair Police Department, the following incidents were recently reported in the township:
February 14 (Lloyd Road) – “The complainant reported that her Chevrolet work van was entered. The suspects used an unknown tool to shatter a passenger side window. The suspects reportedly stole approximately $1,000 in tools.”

February 17 (Mission Street) – “The complainant reported that her vehicle was entered sometime between 3:30 and 5 p.m. The suspects made entry by shattering a front passenger side window. She reported a diaper bag that contained several credit cards was stolen. Approximately $2,000 in unauthorized charges were made on her cards at various locations in Clifton, Nutley and New York City.”
