Montclair Christmas Tree Collection
Ready to get rid of your Christmas tree? Here's what you need to do to dispose of your Christmas tree in Montclair.

Montclair Township will begin collecting old and disused Christmas Trees beginning in January 2015.
Christmas trees placed at the curb will be picked up during the month of January, according to the Township. Christmas wreaths will be collected separately from Christmas trees because of items commonly included on wreaths, such as wire. Residents who are disposing of their trees must remove all decorations, lights, metal tinsel, ornament wires, nails and plastic disposal bags from the tree prior to placing the tree at the curb for collection.
Montclair Township requests residents do not place trees at the curb if snow is falling — or if snow is expected to fall. If a tree becomes buried in snow it is the responsibility of the resident to dig out the tree, the Township said. Trees buried in snow will not be collected.
