In Montclair: Church Burglary, Vehicle Break-Ins, Stolen Bikes, Pocketbook Shoplifting

Police Blotter: May 12 to 18

Editor’s Note: The following incidents are taken directly from the Montclair Police Blotter, which may not include the full scope of police activity in the area. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

5-12-2015 (CVS Pharmacy, Claremont Avenue) - Bobby Williams, 41, from Irvington, was arrested for shoplifting numerous pieces of electronics.

5-14-2015 (Maple Avenue) - Alquon Mosely, 44, from Newark, was arrested for a no bail warrant out of the Essex County Sheriff’s Office and a $789 warrant out of Newark

5-15-2015 (Sutherland Road) - Burglary to a garage. Two bicycles were stolen. They are described as a Men’s Specialized Mountain Bike and a Men’s Trek Mountain Bike.

5-16-2015 (Hartley Street) - Burglary to a church under renovation. Power tools were taken.

5-17-2015 (25 Depot Square) - Burglary to Erie Saloon. Entrance was gained by breaking a window. A computer tablet was taken.

5-17-2015 (Grandview Place) - Three juvenile males were arrested for breaking into vehicles. They were found in possession of proceeds from numerous thefts in the area.

5-17-2015 (Dryden Road) - Theft from a motor vehicle. The vehicle, a Subaru, had been left unlocked overnight. Taken were various credit cards and $30 cash.

5-18-2015 (Franklin Place) - Burglary to a garage. A black VilanoTuono 21 speed bicycle was stolen. No damage to the garage was reported.

5-18-2015 (Church Street) - Shoplifting of two pocketbooks. An adult female entered the store with three juveniles.The adult female picked up a purse, and one of the juveniles picked up a pocketbook. The group then exited the store without paying for both items.
