Montclair Cops Pick Up The Torch Again For Special Olympics

MPD officers recently took part in the 41st annual Law Enforcement Torch Run.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Officers with the Montclair Police Department once again picked up the torch – literally – in the name of the Special Olympics.

Last weekend, Police Chief Todd Conforti and other MPD officers took part in the 41st annual Law Enforcement Torch Run.

Beginning at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange and ending at the Bloomfield PBA Hall, participants ran the 6.5-mile route to raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement. It’s the biggest fundraiser event that the Special Olympics has each year, the Montclair Police Department noted.
