Montclair Cops Probe Alleged School Bathroom Sex Assault

Authorities are investigating allegations of a sex assault in a bathroom at Montclair High School.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Authorities are investigating allegations of a sex assault in a bathroom at Montclair High School, police announced Wednesday.

A Montclair police spokesperson said that officers received a report about "an incident at the high school of a sexual nature" at 3:18 p.m. on Monday. The alleged incident involved two juvenile students.

Montclair police are working with the Essex County Prosecutor's Office on the ongoing investigation, authorities said.

Montclair High School Principal James Earle recently sent parents an email about an alleged sexual assault in the all-gender restroom at the high school, NorthJersey.com reported.
