MONTCLAIR, NJ — Several police officers from Montclair were among hundreds of their peers across New Jersey who joined the 2022 Police Unity Tour on Monday.

According to the Montclair Police Department:

“Sergeant Charlie Cunningham, Detective Paul Rusiniak, and Officer Glenda Rivera joined hundreds of New Jersey officers from police agencies throughout the state cycling their way to Washington D.C. as part of this year’s Police Unity Tour, to honor officers who were killed in the line of duty. The four-day tour takes place May 9 to12, with thousands of police officers converging on the nation’s capital to pay tribute and to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial and Museum, where a candlelight vigil and ceremonies will be held the following day. In addition, officer John Bossolt will accompany the cyclists on a motorcycle to assist with traffic, and officer Raymond Gulbin will participate in a support role, helping riders who break down and arranging meals and hotel stays.”
