Montclair CVS Robbed; Man’s Note Said He Had Gun: Police
Montclair Police: A man went to the counter of the CVS store and handed the cashier a note that said he had a gun.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair police continue to search for a man who allegedly robbed the CVS on Claremont Avenue earlier this week, authorities said Friday.
The robbery took place at 1:51 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6 when a man entered the CVS store, according to Det. Lt. David O’Dowd.
The man approached the checkout counter with several items. As the cashier was ringing up his purchase, he handed her a note which demanded money and stated that he had a gun, O’Dowd said.

The cashier handed over $40 from the register, and the man fled the scene with the merchandise, cash and note, O’Dowd said.
Police described the robbery suspect as a white male from 25 to 40-years-old. He was between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches, and was wearing a jacket with the hood up.

No injuries were reported. A police investigation continues, authorities said.
