Montclair CycleBar Opens At Valley And Bloom

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Does the idea of a “a high-energy workout in a concert-like atmosphere” appeal to you? Then check out one of Montclair’s newest businesses, CycleBar Montclair.

The indoor cycling studio celebrated its grand opening last week at 656 Bloomfield Avenue in the new Valley & Bloom development. According to a news release from the company, the “full-body workout space” provides a “multi-sensory experience” with audio, video and lighting technology on 50 custom bikes, each with a personal data monitor that tracks personal rider metrics and performance.

CycleBar was founded in 2014 and is the only indoor cycling franchise in the country. The franchise has over 145 locations, with eight located in northern New Jersey.

“I love Montclair because of its diverse, forward-thinking community,” said CycleBar Montclair owner Macelon D’Sa. “The vibrant area is full of warm, accepting, passionate individuals who want to make a difference.”

Local members of the business community welcomed CycleBar Montclair to town.

“We are very excited that CycleBar has set up shop in Montclair,” Mayor Robert Jackson said. “It's a great way for the community to get into shape, and we are proud to welcome them to our downtown. We are also thrilled that CycleBar is sponsoring healthy community events.”

According to Rebecca Keszkowski, head of marketing and partnerships at CycleBar Montclair, the business recently partnered with Fleet Feet in Montclair to co-host a fundraiser supporting hurricane relief in Puerto Rico, and are sponsoring the Montclair Bread Co.’s 5K Doughnut Run, which supports the Montclair Policemen’s Benevolent Association.
