Montclair Dep. Chief Appears On Fox Segment About ‘War On Cops’

MONTCLAIR, NJ — “Why is there a seeming escalation on the war on cops in 2018?”

This was the question that a reporter with Fox News asked Montclair Deputy Police Chief Tracy Frazzano, who recently spoke to “Fox & Friends” for a segment about “violence against officers” (watch the video here).

Frazzano, who was speaking as part of a panel with other police administrators, gave the following reply:

“I think for us, we really have to focus – as the administration – on what we’re doing to help out the police officers in our community. And I think that we really need to step back and think about our training, tactics and equipment that were supplying to our law enforcement officers. We’re in a time now when our role as police officers has changed. I mean, we have Homeland Security issues, and our training hasn’t really stepped up to that level as much.”

According to Frazzano’s biography on the municipal website, she is a 20-year member of the Montclair Police Department who has worked in the Patrol Division and Juvenile Aid and Community Policing bureaus. She has been involved multiple law enforcement activities, including work with multiple state and federal agencies.

Fox News recently tapped another Essex County resident – Nutley Commissioner Steven Rogers – in a similar segment titled: “President Trump Backs The Blue.”
