Montclair Drifters Hold Unique Coat Giveaway For Homeless: Report

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Did you recently spot a winter coat draped over a parking meter in Essex County? Don’t worry; nobody went cold.

Members of the Montclair Chapter of Drifters Inc. conducted a unique homeless outreach project last weekend, distributing more than 200 winter coats to the homeless in East Orange and Orange, a report stated.

“As we enter some of the coldest days of the year, it is particularly important for us to help spread warmth to those in need,” President Tracy Munford told TAP Into Montclair.
