Montclair Earns Nod For Work With Older Residents In COVID Crisis

The AARP recognized Montclair as one of the communities that has had an "age-friendly" response to the coronavirus pandemic.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The AARP recently recognized Montclair as one of the communities that has held “age-friendly” outreach among its older residents during the coronavirus pandemic.

The township, through its Lifelong Montclair program, achieved the AARP’s “Age-Friendly” designation in 2016.

Montclair was one of several towns across the U.S. to be named as part of an AARP list of communities that are working to meet the needs of older adults during the COVID-19 crisis.
