Montclair Ends Seniors In Taxis Program Due To 'Lack Of Options'
Under the program, participating taxi companies offered Montclair senior citizens a 50% discount on their fare.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The “Seniors In Taxis” program in Montclair will end with the new year, Montclair town officials announced Thursday.
According to a municipal news release, the pilot program – which began in January 2018 – will “discontinue in 2019” due to a lack of taxi company options.
Under the program, participating taxi companies offered seniors 62 and over a 50% discount on their fare. The program was funded by the Township of Montclair. Participating companies included Good Taxi, Le Rubicon and M&M Taxi.
