Montclair Event: Fireside Chat With Luis A. Miranda Jr.
Latinos of Montclair is hosting the event in collaboration with the Montclair Art Museum and Watchung Booksellers.

Latinos of Montclair, in collaboration with the Montclair Art Museum and Watchung Booksellers, is thrilled to announce an enlightening fireside chat with Luis A. Miranda Jr., veteran political strategist, community organizer, and father of acclaimed “Hamilton” playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda.
This highly anticipated event will take place on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Montclair Art Museum. The event will include free facilitated kids craft activities, access to the Montclair Art Museum gallery before and after the event, and special performances by Cuarteto Siboney and Drums of Thunder.

"We are honored to host Luis A. Miranda Jr. and offer our community the chance to engage directly with a pivotal figure in political strategy and community organization. This event promises to be both inspiring and informative, providing attendees with a deeper understanding of the issues that matter most to Latino voters," said Natalia Espejo, President of Latinos of Montclair.
The conversation will be led by prominent journalist Alicia Menendez of MSNBC. Currently the co-host of MSNBC “The Weekend”, Menedez takes viewers inside the policy decisions that most affect them. Menedez is also the author of “The Likeability Trap”, and host of the “Latina to Latina” podcast where she talks to remarkable Latinas about making it, faking it, and everything in between.

Luis A. Miranda Jr., a noted figure and activist in the Latino community will discuss his new book, "Relentless," during the event. The memoir is a compelling narrative focusing on themes of leadership, family, community, and empowerment. Audiences can look forward to a thought-provoking session that aims to inspire and engage the local community in meaningful dialogue
