Montclair Family Makes Touching Father’s Day Donation

Montclair, NJ – Father’s Day is a time to remember and honor positive male role models… including those who are no longer with us.
During this year’s holiday, a Montclair family paid tribute to a recently deceased father with a touching donation to their local food pantry.
On Thursday, the Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair shared the story of local mother Emily Goldberg and her son Ben, who collected a range of much-needed items for the pantry during their 2nd annual Father's Day Donation Drive.

“Emily's father Joel Goldberg passed away last year and she decided to honor his memory by collecting food, clothing and other items from her family, neighbors and friends on Father's Day,” pantry staff wrote on social media. “She managed to collect two full carloads of items which we were thrilled to receive.”
Goldberg told pantry staff that her father was an incredibly loving and generous person.

“I know he would have enjoyed that so many people contributed to this effort to help others in his name,” she said.
